The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has officially granted a relaxation for Corporate Taxpayers through the issuance of Director General of Taxes Decree Number KEP-71/PJ/2026. This policy provides an additional one-month extension beyond the due date for the payment and reporting of the Corporate Income Tax (PPh) Annual Return for Tax Year 2025.
This relaxation is expected to provide Corporate Taxpayers with more room to fulfil their tax obligations more optimally, particularly in addressing various administrative challenges and operational conditions that still require adjustment.
With this policy in place, taxpayers need not be concerned about administrative sanctions, provided that payment and reporting of the Corporate Income Tax Annual Return are completed within the designated relaxation period. Nevertheless, the DJP continues to urge taxpayers to complete their obligations promptly without waiting until the deadline, in order to avoid potential technical issues.
The DJP has affirmed that this relaxation represents the government’s response in maintaining voluntary compliance while simultaneously providing ease of service to taxpayers. Although an extension has been granted, accuracy and correctness in reporting remain the responsibility of the taxpayer.
Furthermore, this relaxation period may also be utilised by taxpayers to conduct a comprehensive review of their tax obligations prior to filing. Errors in completing the Annual Return or incomplete documentation may potentially give rise to risks at a later stage.
